The Quality Assu- rance Division conducted Quality Assurance Monitoring and Evaluation to the Regional Mass Training for Teachers of Senior High School Grade 11 Common Topics, Technical Vocational Livelihood, and Academic Tracks.
Common Topics were discussed on May 20-22, 2016 (Batch 1) and May 24-26, 2016 (Batch 2) at the National Educators Academy of the Philippines-Region 2.
Academic Track participating teachers in all subject areas were assigned at St. Paul University Philippines, Tuguegarao City on May 24 – June 11, 2016. The Technical and Vocational Livelihood teachers were on the other venues at Allacapan Vocational High School, Allacapan, Cagayan, and Bukig National Agricultural
Technical School, Bukig, Aparri, Cagayan respectively on May 24 – June 4, 2016. A total of 91 participants joined the group at AVHS in Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) and Industrial Arts and 72 participants in HE (Beauty Care, Nail Care, Wellness Massage, Bread and Pastry Production, Cookery, Food and Beverage Service, etc.), and Agri-Fisheries and Agriculture at BNATS.
The conduct of the training-workshop in the Academic track was in collaboration with the teachers from HEIs of St. Paul University Philippines and Cagayan State University as facilitators and the Curriculum and Learning Management Division which was the training management team.
Supervisors from the Schools Division of Cagayan were also involved as Process Observers and QAME Team to oversee the conduct of the training-workshop.
Selected teacher-trainers from the different schools in the region served as facilitators in the lecture and demonstration of the teachers’ skills especially in the TVL.
The training-workshop also aims to equip would-be teachers of SHS Grade 11 of the necessary knowledge and skills for the coming opening of classes on June 13, 2016. The participants were also involved in the different demonstrations of skills like table setting, food preparation, castration of animals, grafting, budding, marcotting, hands-on computers, among others.
