Program Management Information System (PMIS)

The Program Management Information System (PMIS) was developed to serve as the official source of data on the Programs/Projects/Activities (PPAs) of the Department from planning to implementation towards monitoring and evaluation of physical and financial targets.

Since PMIS is designed to support the effective and efficient management of plans and programs, increase the transparency of plans and programs at all levels of governance, provide a platform that encourages a more careful and systematic preparation of plans and utilization of budget, aid in policy formulation and decision making, and enforce planning and implementation standards in all level of governance, various capacity building, training, roll-out, and workshop are conducted using the Additional Program Support Fund downloaded by the Central Office for the PMIS Continuing Fund of the Regional and Schools Division Offices. The utilization of the Additional Program Support Fund is reflected in the table below.

Research Management and Basic Education Research Fund (BERF)
In support of the Department’s policy development process, research agenda, and policy and program development and implementation, the Department of Education (DepEd) provides funding and resources to support education research initiatives such as, but not limited to, funding for approved education research proposal of DepEd employees, capacity building, research dissemination, and utilization, policy development, technical support, and monitoring and evaluation as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 16, s. 2017 – Research Management Guidelines. The table below shows that for FY 2021 and 2022, a total of 780 quality-assured research proposals were funded through the Basic Education Research Fund downloaded in the nine (9) Schools Division Offices.

The Regional Office is allowed to use 25% of the research support fund on capacity-building and local dissemination of research results which is reflected in the table below.
