Pursuant to the Department of Education (DepED)’ s nationwide conduct of a Research Caravan, DepEd Regional Office II thru the Policy Planning and Research Division (PPRD) ‘s Chief Dr. Francis Deo T. Ventura, conducted a three-day orientation on Basic Education Research Agenda (BERA) at the City of Ilagan Community Center in Isabela on  July-12-14,2016.

Regional Director Estela Leon-Cariño in her message said,” Policies must be based on researches. The Department recognizes the importance of research as policies must be supported by concrete data.”

Director Cariño called upon school heads to support action researches initiated by their teachers saying that good researches are index of positive changes.

“If we believe in researches, we must believe in changes,” RD Cariño emphasized. “Let those good researches be implemented for our young learners as we yearn to give them quality basic education they rightfully deserved,” she added.

RD Cariño challenged participants to try to dwell at researching on possible impacts on school assignment of teachers as she was referring to concerns on teacher deployment under existing Localization Law.

Meanwhile, Assistant Regional Director Benjamin D. Paragas underscored the importance of action researches to improve the learning outcomes of learners.

“Today’s conduct of a Regional Research Caravan ably hosted by City Schools Division of Ilagan is an awareness day for the DepEd,” ARD Paragas said.

ARD Paragas lauded in a very special way the usual cordiality extended by City of Ilagan Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Denizon P. Domingo as Host SDO.

The 3-day activity took off from a motorcade around the City showcasing each of the nine Schools Division Offices’ research-inspired floats/rides along with indoor booths of two-fold display boards of research       documents and school-based products at the Community Center.
